Material Editor

This is a material editor written in VRML. Thus, it displayes the mixed color not how it should look like in theory but in a real VRML player. When you have mixed a color you can click onto print to console and copy the material node from the VRML console window into a VRML file.

This Material Editor has been adopted and added to the BS Contact VRML Feature Labs. :-)

How to use it:

The left side shows six sliders for mixing colors. Select among diffuseColor, emissiveColor and specularColor. The top three sliders let you adjust the hue, saturation and value and the bottom three sliders let you adjust Red, Green and Blue. If you use one group of sliders the other group moves accordingly. Therefore it visualizes the connection between RGB and HSV values.

In the center there is a high poly sphere that is lit by a directional light. You can modify the direction of the light by clicking on the sphere and dragging the mouse.

There are a save color and a load color button. They don't work. It was an intention to allow for typing a user name and a color name and store the values under these settings in a data base. The user name should be protected by a password. But I discontinued this work until now.
